Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

When you find yourself in some far off place And it causes you to rethink some things You start to sense that slowly you're becoming someone else And then you find yourself when you make new friends and brand new town And you start to think about settling down The things that would've been lost on you are now clear as a bell And you find yourself That's when you find yourself i'm off. =] till then, hurrah! |

Good to be back
Friday, March 20, 2009/ 10:52 PM
Ok so this is my first proper post since my 'leave of absence' from blogging for a couple of weeks. No reason why, but I just wanted some time-off from the obligation to blog about my life. =]
And so, yesterday was a hectic day. Only slept 3 hours before i have to go to school for SEG's FOC prep which starts at 10. Met Nurul before going to school. Man, my body felt damn heavy the whole day. Practically dragging my sleepy ass to school. Before reporting in, we met up with Nurul (Aini)'s friend Hidayah. And off we went. haha. As usual, it started late yet again. haha. Just the way it was the year before and the year before that. Thought of cutting it short because I had a bbq at ECP at 4. Well, the guys can start the fire without me. haha. And so like what the title for the day says, it was prep for the games we were going to guide the new year 1s through when they arrive for the camp on the 7th to 8th of april next month. Water, water flour. And I felt how Benjamin Button felt during the movie 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. I literally 'aged' throughout the day. From black hair to all white, thanks to the flour. -.- And yesterday really wasn't a day for being bare-footed. Splinters galore like it was a buffet table specially for splinters. damnit. Finished at around 6. Damn late already, so i took a cab down to ECP. Got charged 28 bucks man! WTH. Usually the CTE won't be jammed at that time but yesterday was different. Do you notice how 'nosey' Singaporeans can be? Just because there was an accident on the other side of the road, drivers think they can slow down and have a 'quick' peek at what was going on. And that caused a major jam from Mandai exit all the way to Woodlands. Damn road users. Throughout the whole journey, I was having a humorous conversation with the cab driver about all the things that would and could happen when accidents happen. And we happened to get stuck in one. Lucky us. Thanks Mr Tan for crapping with me to ECP. hahaha. BBQ was nothing special. Got there in time to 'help' the guys 'start' the BBQ. haha. damn noob uh you all. tsk10. And so we started cooking, and i started to be known as the 'head-chef' just because I spent the entire time at ECP in front of the bbq pit. Ate, 'talked' and played. haha. Told you it was nothing special. Not even pistures. What do you expect? Rugby guys. (Notice there were no ladies there. So yeah =]) Took off at 1045. Reached Parkway Parade at 11. Got on 966 with Z and a new guy. They went off at Eunos. I went all the way to Woodlands. I actually reached woodlands in time for the last train to Ang Mo Kio. Thank goodness. haha. And was home by 1210, or sometime around there. haha. Now here I am blogging about what happened on the 19th and waiting for the family, and I mean FAMILY trip to Fish 'N' Chicks tomorrow. Oh yeah, FOOOOOOOOOD glorious FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! =] Well, that's one 'hectic' day. haha. Now, I've not been sleeping properly for the past week, or maybe 2. What'd I do? hehe. Movieeee Mayhemmmm! Here's a list of all the movies I watched throughout the week: He Got Game Remember the Titans Big Daddy Bubble Boy The Mighty Ducks D2: The Mighty Ducks D3: The Mighty Ducks The Matrix Matrix Reloaded Matrix Revolutions The Hot Chick Gran Torino Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li Hotel for Dogs Madea Goes to Jail Hellboy II: The Golden Army I Am Legend Movies I intend to watch soon: Sister Act 1 2 3 (hopefully i can get the VCDS from twin) The Legend of Bagger Vance Race to Witch Mountain & others I bump into along the way=] till then, hurrah! |

1972 Gran Torino
Tuesday, March 17, 2009/ 4:54 AM
This song really makes my brain relax. Ending theme song for Clint Eastwood's newest movie, Gran Torino. I've put the song on my iPod on this blog too, only things is that that version has Clint Eastwood singing the first verse followed by Jamie Cullum finishing the rest of the song. The movie itself comes out here in Singapore on the 26th of March 2009. I recommend everyone to go watch it. Simply magnificent. till then, |

letter of postponement
Saturday, March 7, 2009/ 12:24 AM
I need some solid foods right now. Really solid carbohydrate-y and protein-y foods. Starving, eventhough I had MacD's for dinner. And my sorethroat's not even helping with the decision process. I hate this.
I need some time to myself. My biological clock is all rocked up. I seriously need to wind down the windshield and chill. So, here's my 2 weeks notice. May things be better when I'm back. till then! hurrah! |

Singaporeans
/ 12:48 PM
I'm never going to the NTUC supermarket alone again. haha.
1. I look like a dumb bat walking around searching for stuff my mum asked me to get. literally. 2. Are Singaporeans blind or deaf when they go grocery shopping? Man, they walk right past you and knock into you. Worst still, they saw me there searching for stuff and yet they vrooooom past. haha. Being who I am, I just let these things go. What for get into a tussle with aunties. hahaha. I can do it way easier on the field. =] 3. I'm no super shopper. =] Ok, I'm back home now. Wondering if I should go to the gym later on. Lazy/tired/alone makes it a less than considerable activity to do on days like these. And on another note, I may never know when I'm going to get my handphone. The thing with my dad is he makes these promises and then when the time comes to 'fulfill' them, he somehow finds an excuse or reason to 'postpone' it for another few days/weeks/months. hahaha. Same thing happened with 'family outings'. Damn frustrating. haha. If I were to be in charge of these things, I wouldn't be referred to as a caveman from certain people for now. Well, things happen. =] Found a 50 cent coin while out shopping with my mum. haha. Rezeki (blessing?) lah katekan. =] And I guess a day and a half of sleep is not even enough for me. hahaha. I still feel sleepy now. Damnit. Need to go out more. Need to be more active. Seems like I'm in my blogging 'mood' now. Will update on the past week later on. haha. in my 'sleepiness', I accidentally posted this into my rugby blog. How stupid of me. tsk10. till then! hurrah! |
