Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

SO LONG, NOW THEN UPDATE!?!?!? WTH!!!!!
-.- that must be what you guys are thinking, right? haha well, thank you all for waiting. eventhough this blog may feel like it's rotting, i don't think it is. i've been logging into blogger dashboard EVERY SINGLE DAY. BUT, i failed to post anything. clever, aren't i? =] i'm now currently alone in class, talking to myself, singing to David Cook out loud from my laptop and blogging this MUCH ANTICIPATED post. XD anyway, here's an update on what's been happening in my life these past week or 2: First and foremost, i would like to congratulate RP Rugby Warriors, class of 2008 a job VERY well done in this year's edition of POL-ITE rugby. We are now ranked 4th this year in the rankings of the POL-ITE teams, ahead of NP. -phew- =] here is how they fared throughout the 4-match edition: 1st game: RP vs NP at TP result: a win of 27-5 we now have 5 points plus 1 bonus point for scoring more than 4 tries in the game. 1W 0L description: 1st game, a must-win for the ruggers. and they duly delivered. 2nd game: RP vs SP at TP result: a loss of 5-19 points still remain 6 in the tables. 1W 1L description: 2nd game, morale is high after thrashing of NP previously. luck was not on our side as the opponents scored 3 relatively soft tries and we could not find our way past the opponent's tryline. 3rd game: RP vs TP at TP result: a loss of 0-32 points still remain 6 in the tables. 1W 2L description: 3rd game, hard match considering the opponent's heavier forward pack and talent in their squad. i dare admit we were completely decimated up front by their more 'sizeable' and stronger forwards, therefore eliminating the influence of our backs in the game. Last game: RP vs ITE at RP (homeground advantage) result: a hard-fought spectacular comeback draw of 26-26 points are at 7 in the tables. lose out to ITE because of their bonus point for scoring more than 5 tries during their game against NP. RP - 7 points, ITE - 8 points 1W 1D 2L description: the last game, a MUST-WIN in order for us to achieve a medal this year. went into the half-time break 19-0. fought our way back into the game by scoring a try early in the 2nd half as a response to ITE's early try minutes into the 2nd half. scored 3 unanswered tries throughout the half through constant pressure on the opponents, making the scoreline 26-19 going into the last 10 minutes of the game. got our last 'deserved' try late in the game, making the scoreline 26-26 with roughly 4 minutes left of playing time. RP desperately searching for that last try / penalty / dropkick to seal off the game and secure ourselves the 3rd place and a bronze medal this year. However, time was not on our side as the game unfortunately ended in a draw of 26-26. ITE gets 3rd due to their extra point accumulated. RP gets 4th. rankings: 1st - Temasek Polytechnic 2nd - Singapore Polytechnic 3rd - Institute of Technical Education 4th - Republic Polytechnic 5th - Ngee Ann Polytechnic ok, that's how RP Rugby faired for this year's edition of POL-ITE rugby. i've tried to be as in-depth as possible as my memory could remember. eventhough this update may be abit BIASED towards RP Rugby, heck I AM FROM RP RUGBY! =] ok, now for a look into my life. i try not to vent my emotions into this blog because i don't see the need to. i mean, why should i let everyone know of my troubles and challenges when all i get are words of encouragement and advice. i DO appreciate the thought you guys, my readers, give into your comments. but currently, i am trying to supress my feelings to myself and keeping it for myself to figure out. for those who MIGHT know what i'm going through can give me advice on those matters because i may need abit of help. i am not arrogant or stubborn in a way. i'm just trying to make myself more independent in solving affairs of the heart. ok, you know what. heck with the earlier paragraph. i AM going to vent my emotions here like it or not. haha. anyway, i'm still in class alone. listening to The Rasmus. don't know what to do next after i finish this post. haha. gym? home? fitness? syg went off early with her classmate to far east to meet up with einn for their day-out. and i'm stuck here with my laptop as my company. i am quite used to it though because i'm trying to 'climatise' myself with thi kind of routine. not having you here by my side. well, as long as you have fun with your bestie, i have NO complaints. =] ok, back to reality. had an outing last thursday with zul, elly, chew ling, K and eng seng to the Henderson waves, HortPark, Alexandre Arc, Mount Faber and Bukit Chandu. damn tiring i tell you!!!! i perspired until my whole shirt got wet. it was as if i just stepped out of the showers while still wearing my shirt and pants! haha. i know you guys are asking for pictures. i'll get them all soon, once i meet my syg for 1 whole day. haha. will post them up here SOOOOOOOOOON!!!! oh, and today is my parent's 24th year Anniversary! omg! That's freaking long la in my books. my own relationship is barely 1 year old. and i'm hoping it would stay strong for many more months to go. anyway, Happy Anniversary MUM & DAD!!! love you guys!!! you guys are the best!!! i don't have any pictures of them because my family rarely takes pictures together as a family. camera shy? nah.... lazy is more likely the reason. haha! the only time we get to take pictures is during our family camping trips to parks or beaches and during Hari Raya. and they're all taken in film, not digital. damn, got to get myself a digicam one of these days. for easy access! and easy usage! hehe. yeah, now i know what else to put into my WANTS list. a DigiCam. SET! =] time-check: 6:02!!! haha got to be going now. where? HOME!! sian uh to gym. lazy ass....................... haha. song listening to now: Stupify by Disturbed till then, crawl ya'll ltr! peace. Labels: digicam, life, parents, rugby, syg |
